The Nurse Extern works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing selected and delegated nursing tasks in the care of patients.

Education Required: Must be a nursing student attaining senior status in the fall after the summer program. Preferred to have completed at least one acute care clinical, acute care theory class and a pharmacology course.

Credential/Licensure Required: CPR Certification required.

Shifts: Various shift options, seeking nursing students for multiple nursing units (Emergency Services, Medical/Surgical Unit, Surgery, and Skilled Nursing Facility).
