SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant

Position Title: SAP Plant Maintenance & Supply Chain Consultant

Location:  Pittsburgh, PA 

Experience Level: 3–8 Years in SAP PM / MM / SCM

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) Consultant to join our growing practice and be deployed at a client site in the United States. The ideal candidate will hold a Master of Science (MS) degree and bring proven expertise in consulting, configuring, and supporting SAP PM, MM, and SCM modules across manufacturing, utilities, or process industries.
You will partner directly with client stakeholders to understand business requirements, design solutions, and drive SAP implementations and support engagements. This role demands both technical depth and client-facing consulting ability. 
Exposure to application development on any Cloud Platforms or SAP BTP & SDLC knowledge is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Plant Maintenance (SAP PM)
•Consult & advise on SAP PM modules including Functional Locations, Equipment Master, Maintenance Orders, Preventive Maintenance, and Work Order Management
•Design maintenance planning strategies: time-based, performance-based, and condition-based maintenance
•Integration consultation of SAP PM with SAP MM (Procurement), SAP CO (Controlling), and SAP QM (Quality Management)
•Conduct fit-gap analysis and prepare functional design documents (FDD) for custom developments
•Create solution ideas to build SAP PM related applications as extensions on SAP BTP with S/4 HANA in the backend.

Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM / MM)
•Consult & advise on SAP MM processes: Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order, Goods Receipt, Invoice Verification, and Inventory Management
•Consult & advise on SAP SCM / IBP (Integrated Business Planning) for demand planning, supply network planning, and inventory optimization
•Support MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and production planning integration with SCM processes
•Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to streamline end-to-end supply chain workflows
•Create solution ideas to build SAP SCM related applications as extensions on SAP BTP with S/4 HANA in the backend.

Required Qualifications
Education
•Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or related field — from a US-accredited institution preferred
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline (mandatory)

SAP Functional Expertise
•3–8 years of hands-on SAP PM configuration and implementation experience
•Strong experience in SAP MM (Materials Management) including Purchasing and Inventory Management
•Working knowledge of SAP SCM, SAP IBP, or SAP APO (Advanced Planning & Optimization)
•Experience with SAP S/4HANA (on-premise or cloud) & SAP BTP is highly preferred
•Understanding of SAP Fiori apps relevant to PM and SCM functional areas
•Familiarity with integration touchpoints: PM-MM, PM-CO, MM-FI, SCM-PP
•Exposure to application development & SDLC is highly preferred

Industry & Consulting Skills
•Experience in at least one of: Manufacturing, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, or Process Industries
•Strong business process knowledge across maintenance management and supply chain operations
•Ability to work directly with client business stakeholders and bridge the gap between business and IT
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills — must be comfortable leading workshops and presenting findings
•Experience preparing functional design documents, configuration guides, and test scripts

Preferred Qualifications
•SAP Certified Application Associate — SAP PM or SAP MM/SCM
•Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration or conversion projects (Brownfield / Greenfield)
•Exposure to SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) or SAP Transportation Management (TM)
•Familiarity with SAP AI and predictive maintenance capabilities in S/4HANA
•Prior experience in US-based SAP client deployments
•APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus
